Jethal and Tock sit down and discuss the 1990 Horror/Fantasy, “Nightbreed” (Download MP3)

A community of mutant outcasts of varying types and abilities attempts to escape the attention of a psychotic serial killer and redneck vigilantes with the help of a brooding young man who discovers them. Based on the novel “Cabal” by Clive Barker. (Source: IMDB)

I love this movie. The mere fact that the “Monsters” are not the bad guys, makes me smile. This was a work of love of the project, that the studio decided to screw up. Clive Barker gave the creature designers a lot of creative license, allowing them to experiment and be free with their visions.. some of the breed are.. well.. bizarre to say the least.. while other are merely ridiculous. Viewing the Director’s cut (now available on Netflix), you can’t help but feel the love for the overall vision.
